Ze zijn verdeeld in 2 groepen, waarvan er 33 de PronoKal&reg; Methode (Prote&iuml;nedieet) volgen en ze zijn al 32 weken in behandeling.<br \/>\n\tDe belangrijkste bevindingen van de ProKal studie tonen aan dat het Prote&iuml;nedieet volgens de PronoKal&reg; Methode leidt tot een gewichtsverlies en vermindering van de buikomvang die beide drie keer hoger zijn dan bij pati&euml;nten die een caloriearm dieet volgen. Bovendien verbetert de bloedsuikerspiegel en het lipidenprofiel. Eveneens is de tevredenheidsgraad van pati&euml;nten die de PronoKal&reg; Methode volgen opmerkelijk, want 96,6% geeft aan tevreden of uitermate tevreden te zijn.<br \/>\n\tDe groep onderzochte personen bestaat uit 80 pati&euml;nten van verschillend geslacht, tussen de 18 en 65 jaar, met een BMI groter of gelijk aan 30, verdeeld in twee gelijke groepen. De eerste groep, de studiegroep, bestaat uit zwaarlijvige pati&euml;nten die de PronoKal&reg; Methode (Prote&iuml;nedieet) voor gewichtsverlies volgen.
